During the course of my third year at University, I built and textured a character and fully realised background scene of an urban street to place her in. It loosely followed a short film idea I had and grew from there into the work you see now. I aimed for a semi-realistic look throughout my work and wanted the core style to be stylised whilst having realistic textures.
This render in particular (above) was inspired by this character's original concept art that I doodled after being inspired by a particular lofi-beats music piece on YouTube. You can see how far her design has changed from the initial drawing (right).
Below you can see close ups of the little details included throughout the street scene, such as the graffiti texts and the design on the cans in which I used my own artwork.
